Beauty at Beatline Storage

I walked my grandson in his stroller on the property.  It is so beautiful today.  This is when I start wanting to clean...I think So MS from late winter through spring is the most beautiful place on earth.  The air is a little damp today, but the sun is shining and there's a breeze.  Everywhere azaelas are starting to bloom.  The big bushes that you wonder why the owners don't trim, become mountains of cascading blooms and you know that the owners are just waiting for this.  A really heavy rain can ruin it, but the fresh blooms are worth driving a long way to see.

Now we don't have azaelas, but we have some tulip tress and some blackberry vines that will flower for us.  But I love to walk the edges of the property this time of year.  Still surrounded by wooded areas, a walk through the mini-storage is beautiful.

Locks will be cut tomorrow for the 3 units that are still left unpaid and available for Auction tomorrow, July 21, 2011.  This is now the most famous, but definitely my least favorite part of operating a self-storage.  Beatline Road Mini-Storage has been operating for over 25 years.  I haven't a clue how many auctions we've held, but it was certainly a surprise that a television show about auctions would be successful.  I am of the opinion those units may be salted...it doesn't seem likely that anyone, however stuck they might be couldn't come up with enough storage rent to save some of the great finds that I've seen on the show.  Folks sure are interested in storage auctions these days.

I entered the auction once myself more than 10 years ago...it was just work and granted the girls got some fun dress-up, but the item I really wanted...a safe was so water damaged, but that couldn't be seen from the doorway.  I learned a lesson. I make my living renting space.  I'll let the experts make a living at judging the value of stored stuff!
